Entry Hall Storage
Closet scarcity in a home can sometimes be a big problem, especially if you lack sufficient entryway storage. The front entrance of your home is a great place to store all those items that you may forget if they’re not right next to you before you open the front door, such as shoes, keys, and bags. To make up for lack of storage around your front door, outfit the space with a variety of hooks and shelves. Use baskets to hide certain items, and add some aesthetic with candles, plants and even a mirror.

Utilise Furniture
There are so many furniture options on the market nowadays, so why not buy something that’s not just comfortable, but also extremely practical! If you have items that you simply must hide away, there’s no better place than in your furniture. A few ideas include, coffee tables, sofas, under the bed, ottomans, hall tables and indoor benches!

Behind-The-Door
If you live in tight quarters, try utilising vertical spaces. Behind doors is the perfect place to store those small items that have no real place in your home. You can use hooks or shelves, or find purpose built door storage!

Convertible Furniture
Another way to brilliantly utilise your furniture is buying pieces that double as two different items! If you have a small space, these clever furniture ideas are a perfect way to keep your room minimal and uncluttered. A small dining room table can be folded out into an 8+ seater table, a shelving unit can be flipped into a study desk, or a coffee table can be expanded to a desk. Research some ideas online and see what best fits your space.

Under stair storage
If you have stairs, you most probably have under-the-stair storage. But not all of these cramped storage spaces are completely practical, or offer an abundance of extra space. Be experimental and consider using this space in a more functional way. You can add shelves to the existing storage space, or even design a new storage system if you’ve got the budget.

Floor cabinets
Whenever we think of cabinets we always think of floor to ceiling cupboards. If you have a small space, why not mix up the functionality of those cupboards and incorporate them into your flooring. It could even be a great weekend DIY project!
